Heat Lamps To Keep Hot Foods Hot

http://www.architectdesignlighting.com/pendant-lighting/food-warming-lights.html

Lighting fixture is a basic part of every residential building, shopping malls, apartment and other building structures. It is a need which we cannot live without. Without any lighting fixtures, the place looks dead and unfriendly especially when night time comes. In addition, it will be hard for us to move around when a place is dark. But aside from providing us illumination, it is also very useful in keeping our food warm all the time too.

More often than not, we find heat lamps in restaurants, cafes and bistros. But I was surprised to find it in one of our family friends’ house when we attended their eight year old daughter’s birthday. They gave us a tour around the house since it is our first time to visit them after they have their house renovated three months ago. They showed us their kitchen "equipped" with these fancy looking food heat lamps in their fabulous kitchen. Just like in the restaurants, cafes and bistros, all dishes were kept under the cinnamon colored food warming lighting fixtures before they were served in the dining table to ensure that the food were served hot. They are much better than using the usual chafing dishes. I am used to eating food which is heated in the microwave which makes me wish that we could also have these 250 watt heat lamps in our kitchen as well. But that can wait I guess. Besides, these heat lamps are easily ordered online.

I am sure that most of us prefer hot foods to be served hot for there is nothing more satisfying and enjoyable than eating foods which are served hot. Aside from this, bacterial growth slows down when they are kept warm or reheated. Just like the famous saying in food service goes, "Keep cold foods cold, and keep hot foods hot."

Food Heat Lamps For Your Kitchen

We all love delicious food. Even those who claims to be on a strict diet might cheat upon seeing and smelling the mouthwatering and warm food prepared on the table. But I admire those who can. They must have a will of iron in order to resist the temptation of food. But to those who are unable to avoid the urge to eat, do not worry. It is human nature to submit to the sweet temptation of food.

I can very much relate because there are many times when I promised myself to lose weight by dieting and regular exercise. I was on an oatmeal, fruit and protein diet for five days straight when my brother who is staying in another city came home after three long months. That of course calls for a celebration. And that ended my supposed to be one month of oatmeal, fruit and milk strict diet. It reminds me how great it feels to enjoy freshly cooked meals prepared on the table with your family and love ones.

During ordinary days my mom will cook the food early and place it under the food warming light in the kitchen top to keep it warm until we get home for dinner. The food warming light which is often seen in the restaurants and bistros is similar to the other food warmers such as the chaffing dish, food warming cabinets, and warming drawers which helps retain the warmth of the food before it is served. She decided to have this type of lighting installed in our kitchen when one of the ceiling lights went out. According to her, since we often complain how overcooked the meals are after being reheated in the microwave oven, the food warming light which is better since its light is just enough to keep the food warm without overcooking it. But as much as we prefer eating freshly cooked meals, food which are kept warm under food heat lamps are still better than eating cold meals.

Fight Hunger In Every Way

Hunger is one of the leading problems worldwide. Perhaps some of us do not understand what it means because we have not experienced being hungry. Some of us don't even finish our food before leaving the table. While some have the luxury to even leave their food untouched. True, it is not our fault why some people are hungry. I know that even if we finish our food that will not make them less hungry. But the lesson is we should learn how to appreciate what we have and instead of wasting it, we can always ask the maitre d' to have the food for take out. We can either bring the food home and keep the food in the fridge or leave it under the food warming light to keep it warm until our next meal or give it to the beggar on the street. Perhaps that means nothing to you but to those who have nothing, that small act of kindness means so much to them.

But why are there hungry people? Isn't there enough food for everyone? If there is, they why is it that some people die because of hunger. According to reports, there are about 870 million who are victims of hunger. Surprisingly, even developed countries have hunger victims. Statistics say that about 19 million hunger victims are coming from these developed countries. While the rest of the hunger victims are coming from Asia and the Pacific, Sub-Sahara Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and near East and North Africa.

What really causes hunger? According to the experts, there are several factors why hunger exists. They are war, natural calamities such as drought and flood, poverty, lack or poor agricultural infrastructures, and over-exploitation of the environment such as deforestation and poor farming practices. Can we put a stop to hunger? Yes, we can. There are several ways where we can help fight hunger. We can help by donating our money to the poor, fund raising, raise awareness through social media and news, or adopt one hungry child if not the entire family.
