With their creativity they were able to develop lighting fixtures which are not only useful to us but are also decorative. With their innovative ideas, there is a huge possibility that we might still be using torches or candle sticks to light our nights. And worst, progress many not be possible as well.

Moreover. these also offer security which made it possible for people from all walks of life to come out from their homes at night to enjoy a relaxing evening stroll in the parks or in their neighborhood. In addition, they are also able to enjoy a quiet dinner in their favorite restaurant or a great time in the mall even at night.
I cannot imagine what it is like to be living in a world with the only form of lighting are torches and candlesticks. It is a good thing that we are born in an era where modern lighting has been developed not only to provide lighting, navigation and security at night but also for decoration. However, there are times that I do envy our forefathers. Perhaps they may not have enjoyed the what the modern times has to offer but surely, they have enjoyed the natural beauty of the night.
